Amy’s career in dentistry spans more than 25 years, and includes time spent in back office, office administration and senior management roles. This experience, combined with proven communication and leadership skills, now places her firmly at the top of her profession.

After thoroughly assessing each practice she works with, Amy brings a specific plan to her clients based on their unique and particular needs. She then works closely with them on a step-by-step basis to implement this plan, working within a mutually-agreed time frame and budget.

Her client base is broad, consisting of single- and multi-practitioner offices of all sizes. In addition to comprehensive financial and systems consulting, she assists in fee balancing and budgeting, practice valuations, associate agreements, employment agreements and exit strategies. Jean Fallago is an attorney, valuation specialist, consultant, author, lecturer and former judge. She provides consulting and legal services for any stage of the dental practice transition, including: Valuations to Associateship, Purchase/Sales, Mergers to Multi-Person Partnerships, Disability/Retirement Representation. She frequently serves as an expert advisor to clients of Amy Smith Consulting, LLC.

She is a frequent and popular lecturer at dental schools and dental meetings. Her speaking engagements include Boston University Goldman Graduate School of Dentistry, University of Connecticut School of Dentistry, Harvard University School of Dentistry, Tufts University School of Dentistry, The Albany Dental Conference and The Yankee Dental Congress and Massachusetts Dental Society. She is also an author of dental practice transition articles including “You Too Can Fund a Pension Plan after Retirement” published in Dental Economics. She has also completed a series of nine educational workshops for varying stages of the dental transition entitled “Taking the Next Step”.
